Christmas in the World

Do you know that Christmas is not celebrated in the same way in the different countries? Each country has its own traditions (special days, food, clothes, songs, etc).

For example, a Christmas tradition is placing sprigs of Holly or Mistletoe above the door. If two people are caught walking under it at the same time, it is said that they must kiss.     Can you tell me things about Christmas time in other parts of the world? You can go to http://teacher.scholastic.com/activities/holidays/christmas/ and comment on Christmas in different countries.

You can contribute to the blog by posting some information you know or find out about the traditions typical of this time of the year in different countries.
